Google has yet again added a new feature to the already excellent customized homepage (ig).
Though it leaves a little to be desired, it is nonetheless nice to see the progression continuing.
What they have done is added the ability to customize the look of your customized Google homepage with a selection of colors, headers, and images. By far the neatest one made available out of the few is the theme "Sweet Dreams" which is a basic landscape with the moon or stars shining.
Once you select the theme, you enter your locale (or a locale in the same timezone as yours for the paranoid), the moon/sun will cycle through the scene in parallel to what you would see out your window (you know, those things that play that weird movie of the "outside world").
To activate it, log on to your Google homepage, and you should see a new link next to your "Add Stuff" button on the bottom-left of the top banner.
Undoubtedly there will be more options in the near future, and hopefully even user-submitted contributions will become available.
Be careful out there,
